Baldur is a one-handed Viking sword with a classic crossguard and a Type X pommel (Petersen’s typology).
Our Viking swords are crafted with structural consistency based on historical sources. The blades are slightly tapered, feature a wide fuller, and end in a rounded tip. The most distinctive element of Viking swords is the pommel — in the Baldur model, it takes the shape of a “mushroom,” a semi-circular form flattened at the base where it meets the grip.
The blade is made of high-carbon steel with a hardness of 45–50 HRC, which guarantees exceptional impact resistance, and excellent durability even with intensive use. The tip is rounded for safety reasons. The wooden handle is wrapped in natural leather.
