Freya is a one-handed Viking sword with a classic crossguard and a Type S pommel (Petersen’s typology), both slightly ornamented.
Our Viking swords are crafted with structural consistency based on historical sources. The blades are slightly tapered, feature a wide fuller, and end in a rounded tip. The most distinctive element of Viking swords is the pommel — in the Freya model, both the crossguard and the pommel are slightly ornamented with a simple Viking pattern.
The blade is made of high-carbon steel with a hardness of 45–50 HRC, which guarantees exceptional impact resistance, and excellent durability even with intensive use. The tip is rounded for safety reasons. The wooden handle is wrapped in natural leather.
